Who We Are

Nova is an AI-powered Vedic wellness app operated by Perceptify Pty Ltd, registered in Australia (“we”, “us”, “our”). For questions about this policy, contact us at hello@novaguide.app.

What We Collect

We collect only what is needed to provide the service:

• Account information: name and email address
• Birth details: date, time, and place of birth, used to generate your Jyotish birth chart and personalised insights
• Country of residence: used for content personalisation
• Chat messages: conversations you have with your Nova AI guide
• Practice activity: your meditation, mantra and Gita practice logs, used to power streaks, progress and personalised guidance
• Mood preferences: the feelings you select, used to personalise Gita verse selection
• Microphone audio: used only for chant feedback during mantra sessions. Audio is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded or stored
• Basic device information: device platform and app version, for technical support

How We Use Your Data

• Generate your Jyotish birth charts and personalised insights
• Power AI chat conversations
• Track your practice streaks and progress, and personalise your daily guidance
• Personalise content based on your region
• Manage your account and provide customer support
• Improve the app experience

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. Nova is ad-free.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate Nova:

• AI / LLM providers: we use third-party large language model providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google) to power Nova’s AI features. Chat messages are sent to these providers to generate responses, with no link to your identity. We do not share PII such as your full name, email, phone number, location, or birth details. We may share your first name so the AI can address you naturally. Chat content is processed via these providers’ APIs and is not used to train their models.
• Supabase: secure authentication and data storage. Your data is hosted on Supabase infrastructure in the United States. See Supabase’s privacy policy.
• RevenueCat: subscription and entitlement management. Receives an anonymized user ID and purchase events.
• Apple / Google: in-app purchases are processed by the respective app store. We do not collect or store payment details.
• Stripe: payment processing for purchases made on the web. Stripe handles your payment details directly; we do not collect or store them.

We do not share your personal data with any other third parties.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information (name, email, birth details and other identifiers) is permanently removed within 30 days, so remaining records can no longer be linked to you. De-identified usage records may be retained for analytics.

Your Rights

You can at any time:

• Request a copy of your personal data
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and your personal data
• Withdraw consent by deleting your account

You can delete your account directly from the app at Sidebar → Account → Delete Account, or by emailing hello@novaguide.app. We will respond to any other request within 30 days.

Children’s Privacy

Nova is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of Nova after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
